Re: New Quest actions - enhancing classic

I think it's this text that gave me the idea that smuggling is in game: http://www.tesguides.com/tes2/misc/legaltip.htm "Smuggling: A possibility when engaged in some of the shadier quests given by nobles and merchants." But maybe it's not true. I don't remember experiencing it (not that I did noble...

Re: New Quest actions - enhancing classic

While this topic is here, I'd make a suggestion (for the future) of being able to trigger crime penalties as a quest action. For example, after injuring a quest NPC, the town guard can be activated for an Assault charge; or for entering a building, a Trespassing charge could issue. Everything would...

Although, I am unsure if create item, as functional in classic, was temporary or permanent to begin with. I hardly used it.
It was permanent. And you could sell the item for gold and everything.

Re: Daggerfall Unity Quest Pack #1

Then I would set that balance at #1. For experienced users, I don't think unzipping and deleting directories is much more work than unzipping multiple zip files (in fact, if the latter involves clicking several download links, it may actually be more work). And for total noobs #1 may be more straigh...

Re: Daggerfall Unity Quest Pack #1

Would it be too much work to release packs following #3/#4 but also a full pack as in #1? That way, fine-tuners could fine-tune, but someone who just trusts that all your quests are going to be nice and wants them all wouldn't have to install a lot of different packs.

Re: Open: Temple of Stendarr special perk

Um, I have no idea what the perk means, but my first interpretation of "a weaker state" would be poisoning and/or disease (and maybe drowning, but that's explicitly excluded).

I associate the word "state" to status effects typical in RPGs such as poisoned, hungry, diseased, paralyzed, drunk, etc.

I'm not color blind (AFAIK) and still have to make a conscious effort to see the vanilla arrows, I think I could easily miss them if I didn't know they should be there. They are just difficult to see, they almost don't stand out.

Re: New Quest actions - enhancing classic

I like this idea, as it would allow creating quests that make language skills more useful.

For example, maybe if you know harpy language you can bribe harpies to give you something that otherwise would require a hard dungeon crawl.

Sorry for the offtopic, but I can't leave the thread without saying that the waitress sprite is amazing. It's maybe my favorite among all the improved sprites I have seen here.

Re: Ravenborn's Sprite Refinery

Thanks for the explanation and the link! I didn't remember old pixels weren't square (and not due to lack of hours playing in old CRTs...). :) Then my suggestion would be to add metadata in order to be able to distinguish sprites that were intended for rectangular pixels and need to be stretched in ...
