Re: Click to attack

Anyway, the call for this option is overwhelming. Hopefully it will help more people experience Daggerfall with joy. The classic swipe attacks aren't going anywhere and will remain the default setting. I'm glad to read that. That way, most new players will be exposed to Daggerfall's (IMO excellent)...

Re: Click to attack

Sacrilege!

Now seriously, I won't use it because I think the mouse gesture combat is actually one of the most awesome things about Daggerfall, which I would like to see in later games instead of the other way around... but the more options to adapt the game to everyone's taste, the better! :)

Re: Arena's engine also used in Terminator: Rampage

I don't forget, in fact I played a lot of Ultima Underworld, it's one of my favorite games of all time, second only to Daggerfall and a few more and I think Interkarma should start working on Ultima Underworld Unity after finishing this one! Just kidding, what he's doing is an achievement of a...

Re: Arena's engine also used in Terminator: Rampage

Honestly, it's kind of a hard game to watch. It looks like it runs at 15 FPS? Maybe it was good at the time? (Disclaimer: I've never played this game, I only found about it now and am talking about it based on the videos). There were much smoother games, but probably it was a compromise between gra...

Re: Dust of Restful Death

I'm not going to see the video due to spoilers (I did do these things back in the 90s, but enough time has passed that my memories are very vague, so I plan to experience the main quest as if it were new) but it's amazing that it is already almost fully playable. The progress this year has been unbe...

Re: NPC Flats Addendum

They are canonically dunmer, even in Daggerfall. The non-dunmer look is a bug, not a feature. :) Definitely! Especially considering that Dark Elf player will have dark skin and red eyes, while these characters somehow wouldn't... Later on it was explained by make up, but I somehow am not convinced....

Re: NPC Flats Addendum

I personally prefer the original Daggerfall skin tone to the retconned one, as Daggerfall is my gold standard for the series. But to each their own, of course.

Re: Quest Showcase

They don't have any combat triggers. Technically that'd be quite easy to implement, but making sense of it in the narrative would be more of a stretch. I could always just say it's because people were grave robbing/spelunking/plundering/kidnapping/exploring on their own terms and it's a poor coinci...

Re: Unintended consequence of allowing player into all houses

A simpler suggestion would be a Nystul's where perhaps the vendors said things like "We're closed for renovations" or "We haven't opened up yet and are still under construction." or "We've sold all our inventory, please come back later." or "We were robbed! Damn t...

Re: High Fidelity/Eroded Terrain

This is amazing. I would love to see it in the game. I don't have the technical knowledge to know how it would work as a DFU mod, but I hope you do it, I'd gladly spend some gigabytes in installing it.
