Re: Open: Temple of Stendarr special perk

Um, I have no idea what the perk means, but my first interpretation of "a weaker state" would be poisoning and/or disease (and maybe drowning, but that's explicitly excluded).

I associate the word "state" to status effects typical in RPGs such as poisoned, hungry, diseased, paralyzed, drunk, etc.

I'm not color blind (AFAIK) and still have to make a conscious effort to see the vanilla arrows, I think I could easily miss them if I didn't know they should be there. They are just difficult to see, they almost don't stand out.

Re: New Quest actions - enhancing classic

I like this idea, as it would allow creating quests that make language skills more useful.

For example, maybe if you know harpy language you can bribe harpies to give you something that otherwise would require a hard dungeon crawl.

Re: Commoner quest related bug

Sorry for the offtopic, but I can't leave the thread without saying that the waitress sprite is amazing. It's maybe my favorite among all the improved sprites I have seen here.

Re: Ravenborn's Sprite Refinery

Thanks for the explanation and the link! I didn't remember old pixels weren't square (and not due to lack of hours playing in old CRTs...). :) Then my suggestion would be to add metadata in order to be able to distinguish sprites that were intended for rectangular pixels and need to be stretched in ...

Re: Ravenborn's Sprite Refinery

Shouldn't the world be drawn with the same aspect ratio as the original world, but showing more stuff on both sides? Or is there some technical difficulty preventing that? If that cannot be done, as a coder (but not a game dev, so I might be missing something) it seems like the most general and eleg...

Re: started implementation of talk window

I think it makes sense to fix it (it can be considered a bug IMO) and I would use option 2 or 3... 2 is perhaps more immersive, as it's strange to refer to cardinal directions inside a building, 3 is more practical.

Re: First Look At Spells

Absolutely amazing. The project advances towards feature completeness at a breakneck pace! Also, (SPOILERS AHEAD), I went straight to the video and, for some reason, I knew it was going to end with lots of HALT!ing.

Re: Spanish Translation

That would be to much afford. You should really, as delvisomanda statement implies, focus on one basic Spanish translation. From there it will be a lot easier for someone to modify it, e.g. to add another dialect. I was not trying to suggest that different translations should be done from the get g...

Re: Spanish Translation

I've never known anyone to object to neutral. All I know is Spain's spanish is not welcome among people I speak to  I wonder if that neutral ideal is worth pursuing or if it would be better in the long run to actually do more than one Spanish translation for different locales. And the opposite...
