I was told nothing can be done about it, but I refuse to believe that we cant align a background to the foreground in 2018. Im glad you opened this, lets see where it will lead :)

Thanks and yes, downscaling is easy, I made a macro in photoshop and downscaled all animated enemies to 50% for a test and it still killed my PC, but lets say the death was not so brutal as before and without a fatality so ... :P Interkarma spoke about 4:1 compression with DXT4 - that must help! Ive read this a while back but have not replyed, I will wait for new compression and cache systems to be implemented, than I will evaluate. I really DONT like downscaling my work, because it REDUCES the quality - and the quality is very fragile, every step down makes the upscaling less and less bene...

I think Interkarma disabled compression because he did not like the effects on a vanila textures and there was no need for the compression anyway. Now with high res textures it has changed.
