Re: Daggerfall retexture

To clarify how textures and memory works. The file size of a texture on disk is completely unrelated to how much memory they will use. When you store your textures in png format, they use compression to keep the size down, which works great for storing it on disk (especially since it's a lossless da...

Re: Custom UI Mods

Great that you working on some altentive gui. I lile your title overall, not sure about about the "blood drip" effect on the e and the "l"s. But maybe it's just me. My goal is to make it easier to mod the ui in daggerfall for unity, and it' proven a bit difficult to do right. But when I finally make...

Re: Birds in DaggerFall

Thanks for the fix, works great. I have missed this a lot actually. I have noted, that now there are some kind of birds of prey in the sky, some hawk or something, but it actually looks very large. :-) It seems a bit awkward as it flies as a plane with no motion and in a straight and flat trajector...

Re: Birds in DaggerFall

Hey there. I'd like to point out, that since this mod has become standalone, I haven't seen any birds in DFU. :( Tried with live builds 70, 72 and 74. Can someone confirm, that the standalone "birds mod" is actually working as intended? Thanks. :) Thanks for the bug report! While testing the mod it...

Re: Custom UI Mods

@interkarma I completely agree that the classic-styled UI should be the default fallback. Daggerfall Unity should be what its name implies, playing Daggerfall in the Unity Engine, with some minor improvements perhaps but otherwise faithful to the original experience. Anything else comes down to opti...

Re: Custom UI Mods

So I have been continuing my work on creating UI elements in Unity using Lua. In my last post I had managed to load a single Lua file and ran a function from it to create a few buttons within Unity. Not very impressive but a good start. :D Since then I have come a long way towards my goals for this ...

Re: Modding Tutorials

Hi. I been trying to convert my "Flying Birds" into a standalone mod, but I'm running into what seems like several problems. :( After trying to remove as much as possible, right now I'm just trying to spawn an empty prefab... and even that doesn't work! It shows up in the mod menu correctly, but whe...

Re: Custom UI Mods

A small update. ;) So after looking at the available options, I decide to look more into LUA. My goal for this "little" project is to give users as much control as possibly to customize the UI, not only the re-arranging the position or look of the elements, but also change and add functionality. Som...
