The code already resets the scene cache on starting a new game, and I cannot reproduce this bug. Please let me know if you still have this issue.

Are you confusing the pile of clothes loot piles that are appearing in the FG (need to fix that since they don't in classic) with stuff you dropped yourself? Need a mechanism to enable player to unstack stuff as well I think. Theres some existing stacking issues I want to address anyway at some point so I will look at this at the same time.

Does anyone have any objections to potions stacking? I might look into the feasibility unless there's some good gameplay reason no to do it.

There's a lot of DF systems that they simply didn't finish, and many more that never got refined. Pickpocketing rats is silly, and I agree with Allofich's implementation that it should not be in DFU.
