Re: Daggerfall Mechanics thread: Volunteers welcome
For some reason I am unable to load that save, dosbox seems to freeze when I try to do it. I am using Daggerfallsetup, but I think I have installed some recommended patches. Will try to reinstall it or something... EDIT- OK fixed now. Anyways, I have tried to look into the matter of spellmaking and ...

Re: Daggerfall Mechanics thread: Volunteers welcome
That is correct, the last version is number 8 (can be found on page 6 of this discussion). My contribution of finding those parameters was more or less trial and error, but with the "helping columns" it was not that difficcult once you get the hang of it. The tedious work of writing down the raw val...

Re: Experimental Smooth Crouch
Hah, my post was meant for Meteoric Dragon, sorry for not making it clear. I would never dare to lecture you in matters of programming, as I am not a coder myself.
(Although I know you are not the kind to get offended easily.)

Re: Experimental Smooth Crouch
Hey there, not sure whether it will make sense, but maybe you could add the "smoothness" by moving the camera. The "controller" (whatever that means) could still use the "snap crouch". Also, to get rid of the variability of resulting crouch and stading height, you might add a line to set the hight a...

Re: Dungeon workarounds
Well, I usually played a non-magic characters (which might be the reason I never got to finish this game), so I am very familiar with the situations described here. :-D However, I took it as part of the game. Not having any spells I had to move carefully within the dungeon, so that I would not get t...

Re: Cursor using filtering
Glad to be of some help at least. :D Daggerfall Unity already uses anisotropic filtering... Good to know, I have never realised that. So it is possible to retain the pixelated look even with AF? I always do see a distinct "line" in high contrast textures (e.g. house windows) at certain distance, eve...

Re: Cursor using filtering
Maybe an easy solution to fix the cursor filtering would be to swap the cursor image with a higher resolution image (but with pixelated look). It should at least help to make it less noticeable. On the side note (anisotropic filtering), I have been wondering about it for a long time. It would probab...

Re: Retro mode
Had to give it try for the sake of the olden days. :D I can certainly understand that some people (or maybe even a lot of people) might enjoy the "vanilla look". But... is it just me, or is it outright blurry in comparison with the original? Also the renderer obviously behaves differently (no surpri...

Hey there, just checked vanilla behaviour of the mentioned pawnshop in Holmarket, and it is indeed clickable and carries merchandise.

Re: Reload/Refresh Textures
Hi there, I have been trying to replicate your problem, but I see no issues with memory usage. Do you have some special unique savegame which behaves like this? I am using process explorer to monitor the DFU process, so I can not really compare it with your data. On my system, DFU process is mostly ...
