UI/controls - enhancements

Talk about the mods or features you'd like to see in Daggerfall Unity. Give mod creators some ideas!

UI/controls - enhancements

One little feature that I guess would be simple to eventually implement would be an optional display on the character creation attributes dice roll screen showing the total value of each roll (i.e. the sum of the 8 attributes' base values plus the bonus points that were rolled). This would make min-maxing the starting stat values a lot easier. :D

Collecting more ideas for base DFU enhancements to the character sheet/creation UIs and the control scheme:

Character sheet UI enhancements
1) Add a spell points display (current/maximum) to the character sheet
2) Add tooltip info showing your leveling progress in each skill
3) Add tooltip info showing how many skill increases remain overall until your next level-up
4) Move the health/disease status info from the second Status pop-up to the character sheet and/or HUD
5) Overlay or add tooltip info showing current/maximum health/fatigue/magic point values on the HUD

Character creation UI enhancements
1) OPTIONAL SETTING: Display the total value of each roll on the character creation attributes dice roll screen
2) OPTIONAL SETTING: Force maximum attribute/health bonus points at level-up

Controls enhancements
1) OPTIONAL SETTING: Run and Sneak function as always on/always off toggles

How about only if you name your character "MinMax" does the total appear! :twisted:

I believe technically the correct term is munchkin :lol:

I believe "optimizer" is the politically correct term. ;)

Posting this here because I'm trying to collect some of the UI/control mechanics ideas and questions I've had recently in one place - re: stealth mechanics, I understand the Stealth passive skill is always checked when near hostiles, with the Sneak stance enhancing the skill (my Stealth skill levels up near hostiles whether or not I use Sneak). But does the Crouch stance also increase Stealth benefits? If not, what is the gameplay purpose of Crouch?
