Daggerfall retexture

This topic is to document my retexturing progress.

My main focus will be on interriors for now, be it in small dungeons/crypts, castles... Than I plan to re-do some doors etc.

What has been already done?

Wow! The columns are such a great improvement! I didn't even consider that this messy layout can fixed with one proper texture, but you just did it! Awesome job 8-)

I really like that last screenshoot -Castle Daggerfall. very interesting hmm :) Which gives me some ideas to experiment upon. :P

I had a blasphemous idea of changing the colour of the red floor marble to green and to halve the size of the tiles and it appeals to my eye better. But yes, its not 100% vanilla style. If all castles were remade this way, to have a distinct colour theme, it could be nice tho... there are just 3 such castles I think...

Thanks Jmanowar!

I restored the banners and hanging signs, theres a cloth texture when you come close enough. Also, the red one was completely remade, by restoring its golden edge lining this whole set fits together forming golden frame... and you can see the sign which was practically invisible in original.

I guess this is how it was supposed to originally look. but I will experiment more with it.

Im moving on to another castle for a while .)

I think I prefer pink marble to green when it comes to floor tiles, it creates rich contrast between floor and walls. Maybe Nulfaga's castle might use green tiles as it is quite a bit more grim.

Otherwise, excellent work! Really love all the progress.

Seeing that place remins me of when I tried to remake that wall texture and use displacement map to simulate deph:
