Wow, that smith is amazing. Did you draw frames manually or were them all in the game files somewhere?

Its ingame, I just upscaled it and added more frames to it. I created those frames from other frames of the same smith.

I like the combination of smudge tool and the raw original upscaled picture. Smudge will create smooth color gradients like on the leg, hand, cape or the edges of the stand. Its important to not over-do it and smudge everything. Its about the right balance of this effect and original upscaled sprite, than the results are good.

Some really great results here in this thread. Is the refined process make it feasible to apply to all NPC flats do you think?

Yes, you can apply it on everything. It just takes time. I go thru the flats and improve them to v2 lets say. Also, I create more variations where possible. I rotated the statues around, added thing or two here and there etc etc etc... small things to make it better but in a vanilla style. Now I do the "treasure" archive

Well, some NPCs are ready as well :geek:
Its deffo not feasible, at the end of the day each flat is lots of work, esp NPCs... 30 minutes each maybe? Dunno.. possibly much more as I return to the flats a lot and work on them. I do it when I can, push fwd & restore the art.
