Classic prostitutes implementation

While reverse-engineering classic talking system, I stumbled upon an original unused function involving a prostitutes service. After tweaking some bytes, I managed to get it called when the player talks to a prostitute. Here is the result:

However apart from this popup, I didn't manage to get the function to work properly, as whether or not you accept, nothing happens and the standard dialogue window opens instead.

Edit: got it working after another little tweak. The price is calculated using the character's reputation with the Prostitutes faction. If this reputation is high enough, it's free:

The only apparent effect of the "service" is that the character's fatigue will decrease. So, after some point:

So THAT'S what those ladies in most taverns were supposed to be! I always wondered about that! Figured it was just supposed to represent a guest getting, err, comfortable in their room or something. Really changes the context of one time I saw one of these ladies in a room with a teenager, heh.

Daggerfall was created in a more... adolescent era of game design :D

Oh I know. Dialogue and book content that would probably get Bethesda nuked on social media if they put anything like that in a game now, blood and nudity galore, bawdy songs about the glories of not wearing pants... :lol:

I remember being told probably 80-90% of that stuff was due to Julian Lefay, so the fact that he's coming back with a spiritual successor to Daggerfall has me...intrigued. And possibly worried.

Will this be re-implemented in DFU in any way? I implemented the service in a unreleased version of VIO. Wouldn't want it to conflict.

I'm not sure, since it was an aborted feature of the original game that never made it in the release version. So let's keep DFU without this. I may release a patch to enable the feature in classic though, I'll put it on the UESP in this case.
