Okay, so I had changed the run speed to 70 and took a jump down a hill at full speed. I died from the fall, clicked throught the death cinematic, and loaded a save. Upon loading, I was met with a black screen with the compass and hp/mp/fp bars. I could turn around, and when I paused the game I could see a dimmed view of the world. So, basically, I'm reopening this: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=346

I don't have the problem. I tried being killed by a monster and dying the way you said. Is this still a problem?
