Build #103 Quest related monster not spawning [NOT REPRODUCED]

Started a new Barbarian Class and did about 4 quests for the fighters guild, which worked all good.
3 Times it was "some fool with a loose animal, bear or tiger, tried to eat him ..." Works flawless.
1 Time "slay a giant" Also no problem.

Now i got a quest from the fighters guild in Daggerfall to remove a monster from the Knights of the Dragon in Daggerfall.
The quest description was in two parts. The second sounded something like that:
"What monster was it?"
"A spider - you hear a shout from the first floor"

When i entered the Knights of the Dragon no spider was found. I checked several times all rooms and entrances (Rather small building). Also no sound indication that a monster would be close.
'With Mods enabled (Handpainted models, Enhanced sky, Distant Terrain, Real Grass, Real Time Reflections) and mods turned off (after i already got the quest.).

Thanks for the report, and welcome to the forums GrumpyElk. :)

I'm familiar with the quest and not aware of any problems with it so far. Perhaps there was some interaction with the building the quest system couldn't handle.

I'll leave this in the bug queue until I get a chance to test again.

If you have a save you could zip and provide from where you have taken the quest, but have not entered the Knights building that might be helpful.

there are 2 knights of the dragon guild buildings in daggerfall. maybe you searched the wrong one

As expected.

The second knights guild housed the creepy critter which i took swift care off.

I remember being bitten by this in the original game.

To be honest, I would consider it a bug. Not a fault of DFU but of Daggerfall itself, of course, but a bug.
