Start Saver
Download
When you appear in the game world after character creation, the game immediately makes a save named "Start Save".
This mod is simply meant to protect players from forgetting to save after character creation, dying and having to make the character over again.
The save is made before answering questions about Warm Ashes etc, so the game will also be handy if you mis-click any of these.

Nice to see such mod!
But my feeling is that this feature is such an important QoL improvement, specially for new players, that it should be a base game option, and enabled by default...

Yup, I'd agree with that. I mostly made this mod to see if I could. I'm hoping to use this for something a bit more extensive in the future.

Perfect mod, and I agree with Pango, this should be in the game as default.
Its one of the things you stop to see after years of playing the game, but its a really big flaw.

I trieds to load a safe made by this mod and I fell into the void.
Save is attached. (Installed mods among others are Distant Terrain and DREAM; dungeon size is small).

Oh boy, that's not good
I'll have to try to stagger the save a bit so it's sure to save when you're firmly placed in the world.
