I have daggerfallunity_windows_x64-106, so I am not sure how old that is.
I think it's version 0.10.6?
If I update to version 0.10.24, will I have to start a new game?
Also, Water Walking in 0.10.6 levels Alteration skill, rather than Thaumaturgy. Is that a bug or a design decision?
* It would be really cool if the spell school was displayed in the Spell Vendors , Spell Maker and Spell Books.
Cheers!

That must be version 0.5.30 from April 23rd, 2018 *Consequence of Grace wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:31 pm I have daggerfallunity_windows_x64-106, so I am not sure how old that is.

Probably not required to, I expect only minor problems like broken icons for books you already own?Consequence of Grace wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:31 pm If I update to version 0.10.24, will I have to start a new game?
However a lot of subsystems are new or much more complete now, so it may be a good idea to start a new character.

Hi,
My first experience with Daggerfall was DFU 10.7 and it was my obsession, frankly. Good thing is that you do not need to backup save files before you install a newer version.
Check the updates here: https://www.dfworkshop.net/projects/dag ... ve-builds/
Steps to take:
download the newest version;
unzip it into a new folder;
transfer the mods used in the old version to the new one.
