I've been thinking perhaps we could have the "Your (lightsource) flickers and dies" message display on the top of the screen instead of opening a popup and pausing the game. I've found that it messes with the flow of the game to suddenly stop in my tracks because of my torch dying. I feel like a quick message at the top would suffice since it's fairly easy to tell from your surroundings if your torch is no longer lit. Thoughts?

Hm, I agree. It's a bit jarring when that message pops up.
