Analog movement for controller

Are there any plans to implement true analog movement for the controller? The current controller implementation has really come a long way, thanks to jefetienne, but honestly I find it hard to walk in straight line sometimes because movement is still eight-way WASD under the hood.

Also, you know what would really free up the controller bindings sheet? A function to cycle through the four interaction modes (usually F1-F4). Controller users could then replace four mappings with just one. I think a great place to put this in the kb+m schema is the scroll wheel.
