I had reinstalled DFU to play some questpack mods I enjoy, as well as Archaeology. I noticed the questpack mods I played had all quests that carried the X flag refused to show for selection by the questgivers. I verified my theory by trying to find a specific quest in Archaeology that has the X flag ticked, and confirmed it would not show up for selection. I was very confused for a while, and had a hunch... I ticked "Player Nudity" back on (I prefer not to see junk on my paper doll, to avoid a lot of questions when someone walks by the PC), and the quest in Archaeology that wouldn't show before, was now showing again. I further confirmed that the questpacks I was using in addition to Archaeology now work as well, which leads me to believe that Player Nudity, if turned off, will silently disqualify any X-flagged quest from the list of available quests to take.


Is this behavior intentional?

In classic, enabling the child guard feature will also disable player nudity and prevent offering X flagged quests.

DFU's player nudity setting is a subset of classic's child guard. It will disable paper doll nudity and X flagged quests, but does not attempt to remove other elements such as pixellated NPC nudity or blood splashes.

So it's faithful to classic behavior, alright. Could it be put on the bucket list somewhere to update the tooltip to make it a bit more obvious that X flagged quests will be blocked? I had no idea until recently, and thought that the mods I was using were bugged, and I've seen others have the same issues and not realize it's this Player Nudity checkbox that's disabling their quests.

I wonder if you could separate those options. One check box for your paper doll nudity and one for the x quests. I want the quests, but I dont like seeing my naked character, and also for the reason mentioned by hammer, having the awkward situation of having to explain to someone passing by my computer why my body parts are showing. Or if your kid sees it...
