.Cif files?

I was just inspired to start using the tools available here and decided to find a good avatar using the daggerfall imaging tool. Do im looking through all the files and i find all off these really strange .cif files. Any explanation there? Just a bunch of grainy pics of cows and naked ladies and stuff. Odd stuff to find in the program files.

Anything ending with PAINT.CIF are for paintings that can you find as loot. There are a few classics in there as well (like Vermeer).
