Oh noooooooo! But, but, but....I get enough dad jokes from my former high school chemistry teacher.

Such great gems as, " I once saw a dwarf climbing down a prison wall. I thought to myself, that's a little condescending."

Or "I'm a big fan of wind turbines. The concept really blew me away."

Myself, I've big into malaphors where you either mix up two idioms or just get it wrong like a malapropism.

Some of my favorites are:
  • "Rome wasn't built during the day."
  • "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it."
  • "It's five o'clock sometimes."
  • "She smokes like a fish."
  • "He drinks like a chimney."
I like throwing them out in conversation straight faced just to see if anyone notices. I think most people are used to hearing these phrases so often that they just hear the correct version and they don't even notice, but I have fun with it nonetheless.
