What about chimneys? There are fireplaces in almost every house interior in DF, but I don't think any of the houses actually have chimneys.

Chimney should be doable if I can ever get the roof to look right.

If you're still working on this, Here is a video on creating a 3d cubemap for windows in unity. You may find this interesting, as it could be a method to give windows the appearance of an actual interior. That alone would make towns feel so more real and immersive.

Huge amounts of money having a blacksmith create rivets, handles, hinges etc. Then along comes this carpenter and does not even use a square to set the door braces. Not only that he hangs the door inside out.
