[MOD] Aquatic Sprites

Download on Daggerfall Unity Nexus

Aquatic Sprites adds several of the unused underwater sprites in submerged cavern dungeons. These sprites are present in the game files, but are never used.


INSTALLATION
Either install using Vortex Mod Manager or install manually as described below.


Extract the content of the archive to the StreamingAssets of your Daggerfall Unity directory.

Example : [Your drive]\DagUnity\DaggerfallUnity_Data\StreamingAssets

The .dfmod file will be installed in "Mods".

In-game, activate Aquatic Sprites from the mod launcher.


UNINSTALLATION
Simply remove the mod file from the "Mods" folder, under StreamingAssets.


SAVE GAMES
Compatible with both new and active save games.


CONFLICTS/KNOWN ERRORS
None known.

If you encounter any issue with the mod, please let me know.

It's always great that those unused assets are finally ingame! Fish were also planned to be in Daggerfall, as seen here:

The sprites are already there. Would it be possible to include fish in this mod? Maybe they can just chill near the plants, or even swim around as 2d sprites or something :lol:.

Those are very nice, unfortunately they'd require animations of some sort and they can't really move outside of their sprite boundaries.
Maybe someone will make an aquatic life mod at some point!

Yeah, I was thinking of something like in Tomb Raider 3, just 2d fish textures swimming around. The texture in TR3 is not animated (if I remember correctly), it only moves around in the water.
Maybe they don't even need to swim if they hide in the plants. Nonetheless, thanks for the reply and the mod ;)
