Linking YouTube channel

Don't know where else to post this, have searched the forums, but i can't seem to link my YouTube channel.
Have copy and pasted many times, but it takes me to "Account does not exist" or some such nonsense..
What am I doing wrong here ?

Your account has already graduated to "Registered Users", you shouldn't have any trouble adding links to posts or your signature (best place for links to your own content).

If you're trying to embed a YouTube video directly into a post, use the following bbcode. This will embed your most recent video as an example.

Copy-paste the contents of that bbcode into a new post and it should embed like below.



Just need to make sure you're using the "Share" link from video (not the link from URL field in browser).

No I'm trying to link my Youtube to this profile, not share the link to a video.
I copy and pasted the link in adress bar, straight from my home page..
That the wrong way ?

This is what I entered.. UCn2tmG29Z-YJHYXsf04GSTg this work's but when I click it, it say's "Channel does not exist"...so confused..

Maybe I'm just dumb, no stress tho, no big deal..

My misunderstanding. The current link to your channel is:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn2tmG ... YXsf04GSTg

If you set a custom URL for your channel, the link will be nicer. For example, my channel looks like below.

https://www.youtube.com/daggerfallworkshop

The link you posted works OK, by the way. You might just be thrown off by PHPBB's inline link truncation. If you want to display the full URL without any shortening (as I did above) try using the bbcode below. This will force PHPBB to display full link.

Click on my contact thing, then the Youtube, it takes me to " this channel does not exist".

Oh, I think I understand your problem now.

The YouTube textbox in profile area is assuming personal contact details (such as email, social media profiles, etc.). This is all for individual information. In this case, PHPBB is wanting you to link your individual YouTube user profile. It does not expect a channel link.

The best place to link your channel is in your signature. It will be more visible that way as well, as fewer people are likely to hit your profile but everyone will see your signature on posts.
