0.10.25a live build is not compatible. So this is only for current master atm. since changes to TerrainTexturing component were intruduced after 0.10.25a was released.
so either wait for 0.10.25 (without a) for distant terrain 2.8.0a or try out the editor build.
but since 0.10.25a is compatible with distant terrain 2.7.0a - just use this version with it

There's an incompatibility with retro mode, I suppose it need to same camera modifications you did on Enhanced Sky?
Unless you already did that, in which case that's another issue :/

Okay, so I investigated further, the problem occurs with:
- Daggerfall Unity 0.10.26
- retro mode enabled
- Distant Terrain 2.8.1
- Enhanced Sky 2.1.2
Yes, it requires the 2 mods to be present and enabled. I tried swapping their load order, but same result.

World seems to show as palettized (enhanced-)sky instead of palettized world

Will take a look. I am running enhanced sky 2.2.0 here but this is not released so maybe that's why I don't experience it
update: made 2.2.0 version available in
