Daggerfall Unity executable wont run on ubuntu. Error file shows up?

When I try to run the executable the file with the strange characters and says (invalid coding) shows up and I don't know why.

If you're on 64-bit, are you running the 64-bit executable?

yes, I've tried running both and that file just shows up.

What happens if you start ./DaggerfallUnity.x86_64 from that directory in a terminal ?

Now it's saying this. I don't know if it matters but I'm trying to run it on my Nintendo switch with Ubuntu installed on it.

I don't believe DFU will run on the Switch, Ubuntu or not. The only supported target platforms are the desktop versions of Windows, Linux, Mac.

That's an awesome experiment though, props for giving it a shot!

Damn, thats a shame, you're right that wouldve been awesome.

Do you know why you don't think it would run since other Linux games and applications run well on Ubuntu switch.

The Nintendo Switch uses an ARM CPU and there is currently no ARM support for Linux in Unity, which is what DSFU uses.
