Please confirm you have this hierarchy:

Mods/LoadingScreen/Tips
Mods/LoadingScreen/Images
Mods/LoadingScreen/loadingscreen.dfmod

You can arrange the folders as you want but the dfmod file must be in the same folder with Tips and Images.

Was the last version working correctly ? At least for the background i don't see what could i have changed to cause any issue.
The log may give us some insights

I just tested mine and it works just fine. I have Windows 7 on this computer.

@Jay_H, you may try removing that old .ini folder and retry.

I wiped out everything from 1.5 and installed 2.0 from scratch, and now it doesn't even give me the blank screen with the level indicator

Do you have an even older version of loadingscreen.dfmod in the main Mods folder ? This is what it looks like to me.

I have realized i changed a method and forgot to add back a try catch...

I unpacked things badly and had loadingscreen.dfmod in the wrong folder It's all working now, thank you for your patience!
