What specifically do dungeon0 to dungeon16 actually represent?

What specifically do dungeon0 to dungeon16 actually represent?

Post by harbinger451 »

There are numerous types of dungeons including haunts, nests, castles, crypts etc, but how do they relate to the numbered dungeon quest location types. Is there a list somewhere that explains what "dungeon0" to "dungeon16" actually represent? I assume the "dungeon" one with no number is a random dungeon of any description. What about the others?

If you mean the dungeon types listed there? Then yeah, they are all used. Some more rarely than others, but there is atleast a few dozen of each type across the entire vanilla map.

I'd suggest using this wiki page: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Dun ... _Locations

Then just click on the name of the region in that list and do a "ctrl+F" search for whatever the type is.

Find that dungeon in-game with use of the "map_reveallocations" and find that specific dungeon and travel to it, make a save for each type of dungeon and test that way. That's how I'd likely do it atleast.
