Interkarma, your last fix regarding NPC place assignment fixed this issue as well, great work as always :) So your fix seems to apply not only to homes, but also to taverns as the "fake" contact from this quest is always located in such a building. This can be closed.

I've started to reverse engineer classic mechanics for magic item restocking a while back but didn't go far. Anyway it's still on my todo list.

Yes I can fix wrong textures, like the city gates floor which uses a dungeon wall texture instead of a floor texture. This is rather easy as it only requires patching a word (i.e. two bytes) of data. For your example, could you add a save? However, fixing missing models is not currently an option as...

It's not a big deal but it's still an issue which may also appear with other quests: when you get the mummy's finger quest, you're first given instructions to find a random contact in a random town. In classic, the contact can be found even if he does not help the player, but in DFU, he does not app...

The best would be to patch all these town NPC bad faction assignments at runtime. I extracted all of them so I have the exact offsets to tweak in BLOCKS.BSA, so the only thing I need now is to find time to make a PR. Now, many old DF players are used to go to the so-called Glenmoril warlock in town ...
