Need a Discord server

One thing I noticed you don't have any chat. You should get a Discord server. Most of major Elder Scrolls projects have their own chats. They allow to talk about things in real time, you can discuss, get help quickly and just have some light talk. Forums are good, but chat would help to have more fl...

Re: COMPLETE DFU OVERHAUL ROADMAP

Realistically your opponent should dodge based on their dodge skill, block with their shield, have blows deflect off armor, etc. How would you even animate that? And this is one of reasons why characters should be fully 3D, with that it won't be that much problem other than someone having to make a...

Re: COMPLETE DFU OVERHAUL ROADMAP

I have to disagree on this one. While 3D would make it seem easier or better on the superficial level, (...) Performance shouldn't be problem at all, we are not aiming to hyper-realistic characters. People with average PCs should be able to run it without major hit. We are using a powerful engine. ...

Re: COMPLETE DFU OVERHAUL ROADMAP

This list is very ambitious and will need quite work, especially these related to procedural generation. Just please don't end up with garbage like Morrowind Sound and Graphics Overhaul. My suggestions: Make characters fully 3D instead of sprites. Sprites look out of place with modernized graphics, ...

Re: Improving Dungeon Crawling

The main thing to improve the dungeon crawling is implementing level design. Daggerfall uses ancient techniques of procedural generation and it's just bad. Corridors are repetitive, no variety, no points on interests and exploring is pretty unintuitive. Dungeons need major overhaul mod in terms of p...

Dreaming: overhauled procedural generation and other Tamriel provinces

Daggerfall has world in scale of real world, but it's super boring. Heh. Old game got pretty ambitious. But now we are in 2018, the tech gone forward a lot and we have a Daggerfall remake on a powerful engine, what more is needed? As tradition is in TES games, there will be mods that will completely...

Re: Just some new 2D/3D ideas and proposals

Looks pretty great! I'm happy that instead of going for photobashed look like modders in other TES game like to do, you keep the handpainted aesthetics.

How the progress goes so far? Are there plans for 3D characters too?

Re: OpenMW, Morrowind remakes

I wanted to learn what people from other TES remaking related community think about this situation. Getting fresh points of view and stuff.
