Re: HD first person weapon textures

How many sprites can the spriter support in one scene? For example -player is in exterior of the city of Daggerfall, many NPCs are walking around -so my question is (roughly) how many of them it could support at default visual distance? (Ive noticed that in dungeons and some exteriors, like big tav...

Re: HD first person weapon textures

I'm working on incorporating my "Spriter" asset into DFU and making a first person weapon mode for it. https://forums.dfworkshop.net/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1613 What it does is "flatten" a 3D object into a 2D sprite in real-time. Since it's done in real-time, it doesn't pack a sprite atlas so the VRAM...

Re: AI Upscaled Textures

Ok those upscales of a tab are fantastic, plus the additional layer and text by VMBlast just results in a 100% perfection. Excellent touches VMBlast! Teamwork makes the D.R.E.A.M. work. You see what I did there? ;) Here are the UI upscales: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18MXQOFZ1LXGcWheiqRwJJP1fe...

Re: AI Upscaled Textures

---------------------------- @Narf: That one's an archer. :) I was just going by what "Daggerfall Imaging 2" had populated in its description field. I guess it makes since that he's an archer and not a fighter mage since he shoots a bow but doesn't have any spell casting animations... lol ----------...

Re: AI Upscaled Textures

Transparency? Its not used in Daggerfall sprites or textures. Oop! I misspoke. I meant help with the sprite alpha cutoff at the edge. In Gimp, I'm feathering out the selection when I cut out the background which gives me a few pixels of transparent "fluff" that helps to soften the edges a little, b...

Re: AI Upscaled Textures

Well, I got one MOB done. I decided to work on an enemy (Fighter Mage) that shows up pretty early in Privateer's Hold to make it easy to test in-game. https://i.imgur.com/pzJ14Z9.png I've gone ahead and packaged everything that I've gotten done so far (which isn't a whole lot) into a RAR file. Just ...

Re: AI Upscaled Textures

Reflections being on opposite side in each eye is a bit strange (and do not seem to match previous portraits). Is that a feature of this portrait, or AI taking too local decisions? When the AI upscaled it, it messed up one of the eyes. I mirrored one eye to fix the other and forgot to go back and c...

Re: AI Upscaled Textures

So this is the result of running the flat 186_34-0 through xBR, then SFTGAN, then manually touching up mostly in the face and hair and cleaning up the edges. Since both ESRGAN and SFTGAN don't seem to be very well suited to upscaling faces in these cases, I reused the face from the attached portrait...
