Are Morrowind Style Weapons Better?

To me, Morrowind is what daggerfall should/could have been. it took the same formula but learned from the mistakes of the past; the problems with battlespire and daggerfall is that it most certainly favored a battlemage, for instance. it solved other issues as well: -Armor and stealth became linked,...

Re: Looking for story writer for collab

well i did write a blood fanfiction and got about 30 pages in. i'm a fan of stephen king, edgar allen poe, and various authors. i consider myself mildly good at creative writing and writing composition with a reasonably good vocabulary. So, without making commitments I wouldn't mind writing some sto...

Re: Leather/Chain materials?

another thing to consider is balance. I've pondered this myself because i have been creating scale mail and had ideas for transitional armors... IF this were to be added.... Leather should have some upgrades, but not like metal. so instead of changing it to metal colors... light brown, dark brown, b...

Re: Leather/Chain materials?

1.) is absolutely doable. you can actually go into a hex save editor and make your chainmail dwarven and the material will update accordingly, without any mods or anything... in the original game. 2.) to implement, loot pools would have to be populated with new items. since items are spawned from a ...

Re: Combat Overhaul Alpha

Here are some renders of a vertical chop animation with a more refined sword with basic material coloration. there are 24 renders here with interpolation/keyframes. included are individual renders and a .mp4 video of them in action so you can see how it's rendered. this didn't take very long to do, ...

Re: Custom Dungeon Blocks

So theoretically this is all very doable; basically would just need to 3d map the map pieces in a program like blender, texture them, and then make them in a way the game can interpret. the problem is that BSA is an old old format and we don't really know how they're packaged and how to get the cont...

Re: Combat Overhaul Alpha

I decided to play around in blender and I was able to come up with a cheezy model for a sword (3 hours). definitely room for more detail. I could further develop this by uv wrap/unwrapping and texture baking; this would give you a model. I could then keyframe this sword with a simple animation and r...
