To me, it happens with newly created characters, so... Not sure, maybe one of the bonus items given?

And I suggest equipping various clothes. At least in my case it does trigger the same bug. Not all the time, but often enough. I've never experienced this bug when it wasn't connected to equipping clothes. Even in the uploaded save, I can equip clothes, but when I exit the inventory and go back in, ...

Yes, please try to attach C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Daggerfall Workshop\Daggerfall Unity\output_log.txt if you are running windows. There does seem to be some bug with clothes specifically not showing when equipped, and in my case it also freezes inventory screen (though it can be closed, but still will be frozen when opened again). If I start a new game, take off the clothes and put them back on - they do equip, but I can't see...
