not sure about imaging, but df modelling does need the xna framework redistributable:

you can at least give it a try and see if the problem persists

Based on the quest script itself, I would consider this resolving a limitation in classic rather than a bug in DFU. :) As I mentioned in that older thread, I'd be happy to hardcode the behaviour if people find this really important. well vanilla always picks really only either "Castle Faallem" and "The Fortress of Fhojum". Not sure how it does it, but DFU differs here ;)

mip mapping issue, may be related to gpu drivers.
try if disabling texture filtering helps

could you save the game next time this bug happens in a location (after it happened) - would be interesting to see if the discovery data is present in the save data or if it is empty for the location

Next time I have time to work on DFU, I will take a look into it and see how it turns out ;) for the moment try to use the workaround of mouse and hotkeys commands: Right click the zoom out/level down button or press keyboard key Ctrl + Page Down will fully zoom out ;) edit: I don't think it is a go...
