Semi-related thought: it always bothered me that Daggerfall used katanas and dai-katanas (odachi), which are distinctly Japanese weapons when no Japanese culture is present at least in Tamriel. Curiously, the mouse combat system is actually something I like a lot about Daggerfall, and I would import in a pinch into later games. Also I am really sad that this project (DF Unity) havent picked up much greater community, like those working on Skywind and Skyblivion. Those projects are full blown game productions.... :( I guess Daggerfall is not as well-known, and also, some people were burned by the endless unfulfilled promis...

I had an idea but it's sort of clunky, so YMMV. It could be an inclusion of both ideas: "I have 15 days to defeat the creature and return to Agryn Yeomsmith for my reward. One of the problems with keeping these nameplates is that Daggerfall can (and does) reuse the same building for different quests with a different surname. Daggerfall doesn't even try to resolve this and just stacks all the nameplates on top of each other, leading to a cluttered mess. See, it's not ...
