Buying spells stuff

There are several things that bother me when buying spells at the Mage's Guild.
1. It's possible to accidentally waste gold by buying a spell you don't realize you already have. The game even creates a duplicate entry in your book. The game should probably prevent you from doing this by displaying a window that says "You already know this spell." when you attempt to buy it.
2. Why does the window close when you buy a spell? If I want to buy 10 spells, I have to talk to the guy 10 times? The option even says "buy spells" as if you can buy more than 1 at a time.
3. The spells offered for sale aren't alphabetized. This just makes it take longer to find what you want. I mean... if I'm looking for "Sleep", I can't just scroll to the S's, I have to visually scan the entire list because it could be anywhere.
4. I don't really understand the "## - Spell Name" formatting of putting MP first in the book. I feel like "Spell Name (##)" would be more legible.
