Hi all!
I haven't been here in a long time and recently found out that DFU has made it to Alpha stage. This is wonderful news!
Anyway I have an idea for a Mod (one of MANY) where cities that are supposed to be "coastal" like Daggerfall, though not actually "on the coast" but a mile or more inland, would have actual ports connected to them by roads or paths. Think in the style of Rome: Total War type ports: separate entities on the map that connect to inland cities.
Or, if it's possible, move the cities themselves to the actual coast and add docks and wharfs to them.
There was an old preview pic of an underwater scene where you saw the wooden beams of the wharfs and fish swimming around. It was part of a series of pre-release pics that included NPCs on horseback, homes and buildings with balconies jutting out of second floors, etc.
Fun fact: did you know that Daggerfall is the only Mainline Elder Scrolls game to NOT have docks? Even Arena had docks in cities! And so did Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.
What do you think?
Actual ports with City connection roads?
