Are there any plans for NPC parties, or letting pacified players follow you?

I am assuming you mean pacified NPCs following you, on certain builds I will lure stuff back to a pacified enemy to get around them. People have mentioned the hiring of mercenaries through the different guilds, basically someone who follows you but you have no direct control other then the location you went to.
It kind of sounds like you would want a full fledged party system incorporated, how do you envision that working?

A fully fledged system for NPCs would be good...
The NPC could "way point" towards you, if you are too far out...
I think the only thing you would need is to "flag" that you have a party and when entering "dungeons" and the world map spawing "pacified NPCs" that follow you.
You could initiate it with a dialog "try to hire" maybe with a check against etiquette and barter and if you persuade the NPC he would follow you... (for a certain time)...
