[mod idea] Sky crossover

Talk about the mods you'd like to see in Daggerfall Unity. Give mod creators some ideas!

Yeah I gathered. I'll have to take a look at the possibility of editing the classic sky textures for a small "pixel sky" mod or something :D

The classic skies are projected on a cylinder, whereas enhanced sky is projects on a sphere.
That's why I think only keeping color schemas is doable.

Lightning makes or breaks the game. In DFU using the enhanced sky (which is a great mod) it looks proper just here and there.

Few touches in this department can make the game look 100% better.

The most atrocious thing is the light curve, which culminates in the LED supernova during the mid of the day, completely eradicating any traces of mood.
I think if the night is - 10 and day is +10 on a scale, than the day max should be +5 only and the rest of the curve smooth out accordingly.

Some nice colors would also make a great change.

This whole sky and weather system can make the game look stunning compared to what we have now.

I think maybe using the color scheme similar to the original Daggerfall background would be a good start? Anything would be a good start really :)
