Hi all, here another small idea (not sure if technically possible) to add some additional immersion to the game.
The idea is to give the possibility to display tombstone epitaphs when clicking on a tombstone in a graveyard (either in those within cities and in the wilderness). Basically a random message with the name of the person buried here and a short description, for example:
"Barbyssa Yeomfield: yellow fever took her away at young age"
"Dunystir Ashcroft: killed by a wild bear"
And stuff like that.
The difficult I see:
1. Not sure if the tombstone can be made clickable
2. Have enough fantasy to write down a sufficient number of epitaphs to avoid too frequent repetitions
3. Avoid generating new epitaphs if clicking more than once on the same tomb (this could require that epitaphs are generated when entering a city/graveyard) and memorized until the player leaves

Not necessarily stored anywhere if they're generated pseudo-randomly from grave-unique seeds (coordinates of center in the world, or city/block/model index in block, whatever can identify one grave)andromacus wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 10:13 am 3.
