This project is still in early concept phases but I'm beginning to wonder if there is a way to put in a mod for randomly selecting a set of sprites to replace individual objects as they are created. That way it wouldn't be so much a replacement project as instead would be expanding. If anyone know's anything about that and could possibly help, please let me know!
Also, here is how the OblivionLoadScreen Version 3 is looking:

Thanks to TheLacus, Villagers can be scaled now! Horses are back in and are using High Quality sprites that went unsused.

I believe that this is a pretty good proof-of-concept that new art in the style of original sprite work can be created, with the possibility of higher resolution sprites -- provided that you can get an able artist to do 3D models and then produce hi-res sprite animations from them.

Nice classic-looking rework you made there. Fits right in with the human-looking avatars in DF.
