HI, my name is Alex.
Some time ago I has been drawing hi rez versions of a portrais (only major NPCs unfortunately).
here are some examples (sorry about hotlinking):

you could see others on this russian TES fan site https://elderscrolls.net/daggerfall/dag ... traits.php

During that project I also altered some racial features to be more accurate to the lore (like redguards and dunmenrs - they all white in original daggerfall due to the mistake made by originl artist in bethesda).

Unfortunately, I haven't got time to draw them further so if anybody have intention to use this work somehow I could share everything - in PSD format and layers.
(I'll post it anyway a bit later after I upload it somewhere)

All of those were made during active phase of DaggerXL and I stopped drawing them as soon as all work on XLengine was sudennly stopped (you know the story)) ). It was years ago and now I don't have enouth free time to continue. So i hope that somebody would find it as an interesting task (It is actually a very good exercise for an artist and could be used as portfolio)

I'll post a link to all sources later today - there are PSD files with all layers - it's free for anyone to use it in any way:
- use in a game
- learning how to draw such stuff
- use as a base for other portraits (for example original daggerfall uses randomized portraits from major NPCs with some random additional elements or random colors)

Only one character is an exception i it was drawn in one layer in ArtRage (more like artistic exercize)

I'm not an artist, but I know when art looks good - And that is very good art! :)

Hi mate, have you used the name Lhutojar or something like that?

I downloaded your work from the internet 1 or 2 years back - various places but ofc XL forums were the main source, and I used some of the portraits as a replacements of the portraits in my Daggerfall remaster mod viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1168

I took it as a conservation of the art, because things like this can dissapear from net during the times and they are just gone...

I wrote the thanks to the credits of my mod, but I used name Lhutojar, because thats the only thing I knew about the creator/you.

Can I please use (or more precisely - continue using) that work?
What name should be stated in the Mod credits - if you ok with me using it?

Awesome job! I just changed gamma and added those vanila golden frames... and some other stuff I dont remember.

OMG downloaded the package, opened 0-0.psd and those layers are AMAZING!!!!!
Never had a idea images like this are made like that. WOW! :geek: :geek: :geek:

I wish I coudl have more time to finish major NPCs at least :roll:
