This looks amazing and I can't wait for the release!

I was just thinking of attempting an ESRGAN upscale of the UI elements but this already looks great.

That's a shame...upscaling is never perfect and repainting low-detail graphics sometimes gives them a cartoony look but this looks like a wonderful rework of the original. Reminds me a little of "King of Dragon Pass," which is a nice example of late 90s 2D art complementing a higher resolution than usual.

I have some of his work, I might get it in the game when I have more time and energy
