That would be great.
It seems like locations (dungeons, towns...) are being spawned at height zero, creating craters.

Since my mod heavily relies on this mod, I was wondering if it is discontinued as well.

I am playing with the idea of just fusing this project into my own mod project.
Who do I need to contact concerning this, to get the permission to do so?

Can't you used Interesting Eroded Terrain, which is the quasi-successor of Interesting Terrains?

I think it's maintained, the author pops up from time to time, but it's not being updated, as far as I know.

Interesting Eroded Terrain has been updated in October to make it compatible with DFU 0.13. You can see the update data on the Nexus mod page.

(At first, its author thought he would not be able to update it, because of the lack of programming knowledge, but Interkarma helped him with that, as far as I remember)

Yes thats what happened. Interesting eroded terrain it is, eroded terrain is discontinued
