Famous Faces of the Iliac Bay adds most unique NPCs who were previously unseen in Daggerfall.
These NPCs have a unique portrait and have their own factions. Among those who you'll meet, some
are lords, ladies, thieves, knights and even a dragon. Since most of these NPCs are nobles, they will offer the
same quests as their noble fellows.

In addition, the capital palaces have been enhanced with the addition of regional banners and tapestries along with appropriate ruler sprites.

These are the unique NPCs you'll meet, along with their location :

Alik'r
Shrine of Q'Olwen
The Acolyte, faithful companion and representative of The Oracle of Hammerfell.
The Oracle, wise woman and seer rumored to be the wisest woman in all Tamriel.

Barony of Lainlyn
Hebu's Temple of Kynareth
Lord Coulder, noble from Daggerfall who is likely on a secret assignment for Daggerfall.

Lainlyn's Palace
Baron Shrike, Lainlyn's severe ruler and leader of the Host of the Horn.
Baroness Dh'emka, wife of Baron Shrike.
Br'itsa, court healer.

Dragontail Mountains
The Unfortunate Goblin Tavern (roadside tavern)
Lord Harth, commander of The Host of the True Horn. Enemy of Baron Shrike.
Lord Kain, younger brother of Baron Shrike and founder of The Host of the True Horn.

Fiefdom of Anticlere
Anticlere's Benevolence of Mara
Lord Quistley, advisor to Lady Doryanna Flyte and associate of the Benevolence of Mara.

Anticlere's Palace
Farrington, courtier.
Lady Doryanna Flyte, wife of Lord Auberon Flyte and leader of the Knights of the Flame. She also has connections to the Thieves Guild.
Lord Auberon Flyte, ruler of Anticlere, but retired due to illness.
Lord Perwright, noble and courtier of Anticlere.

Anticlere's Thieves Guild
The Squid, a high ranked member of the Thieves Guild.
Whitka, an influential member of the Thieves Guild.

Fiefdom of Ykalon
Ykalon's Palace
Lord Plessington, noble of Ykalon and leader of the Order of the Cup.

Kingdom of Daggerfall
Daggerfall's Dark Brotherhood
Chulmore Quill, ringmaster of the Quill Circus and ally of the Dark Brotherhood.

Kingdom of Sentinel
Bubissidata's Thieves Guild
Thaik, an influential member of the Thieves Guild.

Kingdom of Wayrest
Merwark Hollow's Palace
Lord Kilbar, noble of Wayrest with connections to the Dark Brotherhood.

Wayrest's Mages Guild
The Archmagister, leader of the Iliac Bay's Mages Guild. (He has a randomly generated name)

March of Glenpoint
Glenpoint's Palace
Lord Bertram Spode, noble of Glenpoint with connections to the Thieves Guild.
Sylch Greenwood, a Wood Elf associated with Glenpoint.

Graymore's Thieves Guild
Thyr Topfield, an influential member of the Thieves Guild.

Ripfort's Thieves Guild
The Crow, an influential member of the Thieves Guild.

Wrothgarian Mountains
Shedungent
Skakmat, dragon familiar of Nulfaga.

INSTALLATION

Famous Faces of the Iliac Bay requires Ninelan's Daggerfall Expanded Textures found on the Daggerfall Unity Nexus :

Either install using Vortex Mod Manager or install manually as described below.

Extract the content of the archive to the StreamingAssets of your Daggerfall Unity directory.

Example : [Your drive]\DagUnity\DaggerfallUnity_Data\StreamingAssets

The .dfmod file will be installed in "Mods".

In-game, activate Famous Faces of the Iliac Bay and Daggerfall Expanded Textures.


SAVE GAMES

Compatible with both new and active save games.
Before enabling Famous Faces, make sure you do not have an active quest given by someone present in one of the buildings mentioned previously.

If, the first time you load your game, you are in one of the targetted cities or buildings, the new NPCs may not show at once. Traveling to another location and returning will make them appear correctly.


CONFLICTS/KNOWN ERRORS

None known.

Haleluyah Ive always wanted the unused NPCs to be reintroduced in the game!

Would be cool if the rest if the ubused assets had the same fate as well.

This is good! I've always been a little sad how there were always NPCs (especially the elf ones) that had no actual presence in the game. Seeing them used is a plus!

I did notice several unused building models, with which I have some plans. Some of them involve new temples and temple knightly orders... stay tuned! :D

Thanks! It's indeed nice to see them at last, even if they don't have any unique content associated to them. At least, it makes some locations a bit less generic.

Yup those unused buildings, some look really good and would fit the game a lot.

Btw, could you please post a list of new NPCs in a reply (numbers, like 180_0-0) so I can check with DREAM to make sure all are looking ok. Its getting a bit difficult for me to stay in the loop of the progress.

Good thing is, all portraits are done already, so there should be no issues there.

Thanks Cliff, all of these are done in HD but the animated one. I will take a look at them, but its never easy to do these.

The mod has been updated to version 1.1. It adds 11 new NPCs, unique sprites designed by Zadroter for Lord and Lady Flyte of Anticlere and some minor changes.

Greetings! I have updated Famous Faces to 1.2
The main additions are Ninelan's beautiful banners and tapestries that have been added to all capital palaces. Here's the full changelog.

- Added Ninelan's regional banners to all of the capital palaces.
- Fixed the bug from classic where some commoners inside buildings would have the same identity as unique NPCs.
- Added a ruler sprite to Wrothgaria and Dragontail.

Coming in the next update : Skakmat! Nulfaga's dragon familiar has been drawn and animated by Ninelan. It's beautifully made and fits perfectly with the game's aesthetics.
