Thanks Nystul, thanks VMBlast :) Its very chaotic and my head spins from all the archives sometimes... but progress is made.

I used Alexander Sigs textures of the buildings and made a winter version from them, some look good, some need more work... as always

You can see that the green square like parts dont have winter version - thats what I call a Bethesda, theres lots of such things in the archives. Can we add the winter version? Thats the question?

Also, the mask on the window - it displays the old icicles which are not there anymore (window is not blue but black at some parts) Where is this info stored please?

@King of Worms

Outstanding work ! Seems like a lots of work, thank you all for enhancing this game ( one of my favorite btw) :)

If you want to know more about texture creation, you can use "Substance Designer".
I saw Gorgulla use this in the skyblivion streams ;)

Thanks guys! Wall of text incoming :!:

There is still insane amount of work which needs to be done for this project to be complete - and I cant do that alone - that is for sure. I see it more clearly every next day I mess with the textures, categorize them etc - but I am not surprised by it, no...

I think I might release "work in progress" capsules or something like that. I do not even know how long I will be able to pour 100s of hours of "work" into this honestly - but I consider this my hobby now. I released my work on up-scaled flats/sprites already - but there must be some things done with the engine 1st, before we can see all the stuff I made - I believe Interkarma and ppl who really know whats up will make that happen. That pack has 5000 files... That is another story tho.

These textures I work on here now, they just work as they are. But such fast progress is only possible thanks to Alexander Sig who made the summer version of all the buildings I am covering with snow now + Ghost Line who made the Temperate Terrain set from which I created the Temperate Winter and Mountain Winter sets. Plus those textures from you VMBlast I am already trying to use. This pack is worth cca 200 - 300 textures now Id say...

I will think about release some more - and I will let you know. Thanks for the Substance notice, I saved in favorites and will try that!

Just for your info on the progress on the archives:

Terrain sets (3 of 12)
City Walls (8 of 8)
Ruins (0 of 8)
Fences (0 of 8)

Magic effects + blood and gore (0 of 190 files/sprites)

Building textures:
- City and Village (17 of 36)
- Farm (4 of 12)
- Mages Guild (2 of 11)
- Manor (4 of 12)
- Merchant (6 of 12)
- Tavern (1 of 12)
- Temple (0 of 12)

Dungeons (5 of 32)
Main Quest Dungeons (0 of 18)

39 archives worth of 500 files uncategorized - to be done (plus ALL the missing sets from above...)
42 NPCs worth of 2239 files - to be done

105 Archives worth of 5635 files - done (mostly up-scaled and hand corrected sprites)
This includes 45 monster NPCs worth of 2638 files which I did in my Flat up-scaling project...

So yes, We dealing with huge numbers here...

I navigate myself quite well in the archives now - you can call me the archive keeper :geek:
If anyone wants to do some work, I can tell you the archive names which needs to be done, recommend some work which will have the biggest impact, I can save you some time from doing the duplicate/redundant work etc etc etc

- This CAN be done before the end of 2018

Back to upscaling - I did all 12 temples
This method brings everything back into focus, removes the pixelation and adds a bit of detail here and there.

Than I met this shrine
- it has the same texture set as a dungeon 324, so basically both are done now but I havent seen the dung yet.
