This looks really good Hazelnut. Good use of that space too.

Thanks, put a lot of time and effort into this. Including several wasted hours on scaling the text, thinking I could do it without changes to TextLabel just by setting the right things.. still Nystul came to my rescue. :-)

Glad you like it, and yes that's a bow. Want to guess what type.... Silver. I believe you're fond of those? :-)

this is a nice addition to the inventory window!

what was this box used for in vanilla? - just a icon in certain inventory modes?

It's used in trade interfaces to show if you're accessing your cart items to sell/repair etc. So the hover info panel is only for inventory as its not used for anything when accessing your inventory. I figured I would use the space.

I've prototyped a different version of the item hover info panel. Basically after answering the question about why I used the local items icon space at the top and answering: because it's not used in classic, and also getting irritated that you can't see your carried weight & encumbrance on the inventory window, I decided that it might be nice to use the (AFAIK unused) backpack icon and overlay weight. Just like for the cart.

This means relocating the item info panel. I've mocked it up below in my lunch break and would be interested in feedback. (note the 0.01kg is from 3gp - is not a bug)
