My favourite part!!

Are those last two even used ingame? I saw some great art in textures which is not used I think... we should use all original art.

Is there any way to determine if the flat really appears ingame?

This one has ok outline and good image structure, so it was good candidate for a waifu 2x upscalling. That is time consuming. I need to upscale it in two modes, combine those in photoshop and refine the edges. Also, waifu upscale takes time on its own.
But... everything for daggerfall, we are not in a rush anyway :mrgreen:

Also, these pillars have two versions ingame, and only difference is their resolution. So naturally, I used the higher res one as a source and now these two ingame versions will both be highres...

Here its done in XBR 4x 2 times...
Its a bit more gritty, maybe it will fit game better, opinions?
PS: this is downscaled to fit the pages better... original is bit more clean :P

So this is the example of improvement Im able to do with upscaling of small props... I like it! Just look closely!
Original is so blurry and badly defined. This is major improvement ingame, because the new ones absolutely fit in the place and are better than old ones in every aspect. My opinion.

Look at that deffinition!! :)

Also, when you come closer to the original ones it turns to mess, the new one are high res and stay the same... today I added around 500 of such objects to the game - finally utilizing the 10s of hours of preparations and testing!!! This is the way to keep the pure vanilla feel while making it better...

Again, this screen has lost the quality because of printsceen, than messing up in photoshop and saving to jpeg. Wait till you see it ingame - it just fits in! :geek:

I can also upscale the animated objects now. I upscalled the whole darkbrotherhood set... its very tedious and repetitive job and must be done by hand each screen on its own. But it can be done... with good results.

Upscaled props on the table, realigned pillars on the walls so the doors are not going thru them.... everything falling together now.

If u maximize the screen and zoom in you can see I remastered the health/stam/mana bars as well, no more pixels there ;)

KIng, for screwed up seamless textures go into photoshop under filter tab/other/offset.
This pushes/moves the seam so it's easier seen to fix. One easy method is using a clone stamp tool.

I know this method, but its very tedious and time consuming, esp when we talking about 100s of textures. I will try some workaround before I get into this kind of solution. But anyway, thanks for advice and for help!
