You may be aware of the early CES trailer (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:CES_Cinematic). I'd like to remake it into an actual intro to show right after "Bethesda Software presents". Most of the original footage is unfortunately lost, but we may remake it. I'd like to make it as close as possible to the original, even target 320x200 at 30 fps.
I can handle the editing and I have already prepared a workprint, also borrowing from Redguard and other sources. I've attached it to this post, though I had to compress it quite a lot :\
We're going to need: 3d modelers, animators, one composer and one voice actor (narration).
I've broken down the workprint, this is roughly what needs to be done:
Spoiler!
Camaron: Camaron's background: done, see attachment
hall's background
2d/3d animated flames
3d Camaron (possibly with Julian Lefay's face)
3 3d warriors (possibly with realistic faces)
3d animations
Lysandus:
background
2d/3d animated flames
3d Lysandus (possibly with Don Nalezty's face)
3d woman (possibly with realistic face)
3d animations
Red Warzone:
light background
red background
2d/3d warrior's silhouttes (with axe, bow, ?)
2d/3d animations
Hill Warzone:
3d hills (1 shot done, see attachment)
3d knights with spears, flags, horse
3d face close-up (possibly with Ted Peterson's face)
3d animations
Cloud:
background
2d/3d cloud animation
Please come join this project. The more the better, since we can split work
I've found artists to make 3d characters, backgrounds and voice acting. I'll deal with animations and music (if it's not already in the OST) later.
So far it's going to cost 335$. I can pay a part of this, but I'd need crowdfunding for the rest? How about that? Crowdfunding, GoFundMe or something? Any idea?

Do you plan to create the trailer remake in HD (so that it can be used with HD setups like D.R.E.A.M. which comes with HD cutscenes) and then downscale it?

It can be upscaled afterwards anyway
Well ... yes. (But I don't like the loss of detail in real-life recordings, like the emperor in the DF intro. Looks as if he has tons of make up on his face )
