I'm loving Unity so far and with texture overhauls it looks more believable from a real world view point, but this doesn't translate over to the sound department... it gets kinda tiring hearing the same 2 generic thuds and for potentially hundreds of hours of playtime this isn't ideal for me.
Any chance for implementation/a mod that varies the footstep sounds? For example in Silent Hill 2, James had dozens and dozens of individually recorded shoe sounds because Yamaoka didn't want the sounds to be too repetitive.
Can we have it so different footstep sounds play depending on the ground surface and type of boots/no boots we wear?

Just having splashing sounds when walking over water would be a huge plus.
