Replacing static char with 3D mesh issues

So, i've been trying to replace 2d static characters, as the walking ones require c# knowledge, the process was really easy, but upon trying to enter taverns wich have this char i'm faced with the message "this house has nothing of value" and the sky turns dark for a couple seconds, i looked up fbx importing in unity in general, but i see no issues with my model, so i tried the other FBX i have, which is a skateboard, and upon entering the tavern i see this

that's the board and part of the wheels, this happens as soon as i enter it, moving the mouse moves the compass only.

I'm 100% thrown off right now this should be really simple and i can't find info on why this would be happening, the cube prefab worked perfectly.
