Authentic recordings of the DF soundtrack from an SC-88?

Post by InconsolableCellist »

I came across this old collection of recordings of the Daggerfall soundtrack on a real Roland SC-88: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Y9o05 ... Rj&index=1

The download link still works on mega: https://mega.nz/file/iMhAHBaL#Ewn6XzCNl ... lKy9Atb4ik

Are there any existing mods to put the original audio into Daggerfall Unity as it'd sound on real hardware? This would be good for that

I don't know about SC-88 but there are recordings of SC-55 and OPL-3:

I think it should be easy to use existing SC-88 recordings in game, if in ogg format and with correct file names. In the easiest case, just put the audio files in the sound folder.

(To be perfectly honest, OPL-3 rendering is not recorded off a SoundBlaster or only real hardware, it's the output of ADLMIDI player; It seems to be quite faithful, but they're probably differences).
